Hi, Everyone,
In my last article I wrote in December, I mentioned that we were still in store for some very difficult times this year. I know we all want to know good things;but, honestly, it's also important to be prepared when things are more difficult. For instance, we're in a global financial crisis and a world crisis, in general. We've had some of the challenging outer planets at the world axis, and this will continue on and off through the next year. We need to think globally and not locally;frankly, we have no choice. We ended the year with Mars, the planet of work matters, energy, and war, retrograding in the sign of Leo on December 20th, 2009 at 19 degrees of Leo, and it will not be direct again until March 10th.
Mars retrogrades every 2 years, and it definitely slows things down, and it can be ESPECIALLY difficult when it remains in one sign, as it has in the sign of Leo. When Mars retrogrades, life slows down, matters remain unresolved, and we do not move forward. I'm sure a lot of fixed signs, especially Leo and Aquarius, as well as the other fixed signs, have felt it even more intensely;however, it affects all of us. It can slow down business, cause accidents, and it can just induce low energy, in general. I've heard a lot of people complain about loss of jobs and lack of business, etc. In January of 2010, we had the biggest auto recall in history with Toyota. Mars also rules motors, cars, and machines.
To add to this, we experienced two big eclipses soon after on 12/31 and 1/15, and this further ignited this confusing energy. People are very frightened, and I think it's important to face that fear, rather than ignore it. On January 12, 2010, which was 3 days before the powerful Solar Eclipse in Capricorn, there was a horrendous earthquake in Haiti, and over this past weekend, there was another earthquake in Chili, albeit not on the same scale. Not to mention a tsunami alert in Hawaii. These are very daunting and frightening facts.
With mars retrograde, realize business can slow down but also realize that when it turns direct again on March 10th, this will help to give us all a big boost. There will be a new moon in the sign of Pisces, where benevolent Jupiter currently resides, on March 15th. This is a time to bring in new opportunities, focus on goals, and start new projects. The next few months are a very expansive time for water signs, i.e., Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio. Jupiter brings in opportunities, expansion, and abundance, and it is currently in the sign of Pisces, who should benefit especially from this energy.
God bless everyone, who has been affected by these recent months. Pluto, the planet of change and transformation is now in the sign of Capricorn, which represents big business, institutions, and government. Since October of 2008, when Lehman Brothers folded, we've seen a lot of job loss, changes in the corporate world, etc. Sadly, I cannot say that this will deter soon.
However, we are now reverting more to the values of our parents and grandparents, who did not live beyond their means, spend thousands of dollars on credit cards, which they did not in the bank;and, who did many tasks, we deflect on others, simply by themselves and for themselves. We can learn from history, and we can opt to use this as a time to re-build a world that no longer needs instant gratification, instant release of pain. Life is joyful, and it is equally painful. One can simply not experience one without the other, and unfortunately now there is rampant pain in the world. Let's use beautiful Jupiter in the compassionate sign of Pisces to forge forward and think less of ourselves and more of others.

That Obama during the State of union speech said that when he took office we were 3 Trillion in the hole? Then he spent another Trillion to stop a depression and intends to cut spending that will make up the Trillion he spent thus leaving us back to where we began to begin with?
Does anyone know how much a trillion is? I highly dout, in fact completely do not believe the figure 3 trillion he is talking about.
i don't believe him, and this explanation he just gave tells me he is doing nothing about the debt to begin with.
Just what has he really done since he took office but to create a new world order only the elite will benefit and piss off your average american?
He trys to pass a bill that is rejected so he makes it an executive order saying no matter what comes about he'll force it anyway. I don't know what the bill was but it's the idea he would just make it happen regardless of the turn out of the vote process amazes me. Why bother having this process?

Obama supporters are flooding newspapers with pro-Obama letters purportedly from average citizens – with duplicate messages appearing in more than 70 publications across the nation.
One writer identified as "Ellie Light" has published identical form letters in newspapers around the country. Sabrina Eaton of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported Light claims to have different hometowns within the respective newspaper readership areas. Each letter is nearly identical in grammar, style and subject.
Light's letters have appeared in many mainstream publications, including Politico.com, the Washington Times, USA Today and even Thailand's Bangkok Post.
"Today, the president is being attacked as if he'd promised that our problems would wash off in the morning. He never did," she writes. "It's time for Americans to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president can't just wave a magic wand and fix everything."
The following is Light's letter posted on USA Today's website in which she lists Long Beach, Calif., as her home:
A similar letter appeared in Alabama's Huntsville Times, signed Ellie J. Light. But this time the woman claims to be from Huntsville:
In numerous letters, Ellie Light lists various hometowns in at least 31 states and the District of Columbia.
The Patterico's Pontifications blog posted links to 65 local publications, three national publications and two foreign publications that posted Light's letters. The blog invited readers to share additional links. Dozens of tips leading to additional publications are still pouring in.
The website noted that Obama "Astroturfers are coming out of the woodwork."
Aside from Light's messages, duplicate pro-Obama letters have been submitted to dozens of publications by writers identified as "Jan Chen," "Gloria Elle," "Cherry Jimenez," "Janet Leigh," "Earnest Gardner," "Jen Park," "Lars Deerman," "John F. Stott," "Gordon Adams," "Nancy Speed," "Sheila Price," "Clarence Ndangam," "Vernetta Mason," "Greg Mitchell," "Ermelinda Giurato," "J. Scott Piper," "Robert Vander Molen" and "Terri Reese."
Just as news of Light's duplicate messages broke, readers began finding various letters written by "Mark Spivey," a man who simultaneously claims to live in San Diego, Calif., and Naples, Fla. His pro-Obama letter, "Considering Afghanistan," was published by the Minnesota Daily, the Baltimore Chronicle, the San Diego Union-Tribune and Naples News.
Patterico's Pontifications also shared this letter from a Jan Chen of Seattle, published in Seattle's Northwest Asian Weekly:
As one listens to the Republican anger over health care reform, one can imagine an anti-government protester cheerfully paying premiums on insurance policies that drop you after you make a claim, or happily sauntering out of an emergency room that denied them treatment because of a coverage problem. One can imagine a town hall sign-waver enthusiastically forking over most of their pay to bill collectors after suffering a catastrophic injury, thinking, "Wow, the free market system is great."
Meanwhile, a woman identified as Gloria Elle wrote a nearly identical letter to the editor published by the Baltimore Chronicle:
As one listens to the Republican anger over health care reform, one can imagine an anti-government protester cheerfully paying premiums on insurance policies that cancel you for making a claim, or happily sauntering out of an emergency room that denied them treatment because of a coverage problem. One can imagine a town-hall sign-waver enthusiastically forking over most of their pay to bill collectors after suffering a catastrophic injury, thinking, "Wow, the free market system is great."
Pages titled Who is Ellie Light? and Who is Mark Spivey? have appeared on Facebook, and a Wikipedia page was formed about Light. In an e-mail to the Plain Dealer, Light firmly denied speculation that she's really President Obama, Michelle Obama or National Security Council member Samantha Power. She refused to answer questions about the numerous address discrepancies.
Patterico noted that letters by "John Stott," "Gloria Elle" and "Mark Spivey" had been published by Buzzflash, a website run by Mark Karlin & Associates, a Chicago-based public relations firm specializing in media relations, issues management, strategic positioning, public interest PR and advocacy campaigns.
President Obama's "grass-roots army," Organizing for America, has been known to conduct dozens of letter-writing campaigns geared toward the nation's newspapers. It's website allows Obama supporters to enter a zip code and draft a single letter to numerous local and national newspapers. Organizing for America provides several talking points, and letter writers are asked to type their message into a single field. The letter is automatically blasted to various outlets with a click of the "send" button.
The blogosphere is buzzing with speculation about the true identities of pro-Obama letter writers. Some comments include the following:
Anyone agree that this Ellie Light is none other than the POTUS (president of the United States) himself?
What we have here is a real mystery. Not! The White House pays people to do this. There are Obama "supporters" paid to post on lots of sites. You can recognize the names and the talking points that the White House is putting out. … That is what they are paid to do. Fool the press into thinking that Obama is not tanking.
A new low for Obama, writing his own letters in support of himself.
I guess we know what Anita Dunn is now doing these days.
Rahm Emanuel is my guess.
She probably works for ACORN.
Ellie is obviously Robert Gibbs' alter ego.
It's George Soros! They finally found him! The one real supporter of "hero" Obama has gone underground as a female citizen. Wow!
It's definitely organized, and I'm not surprised by the lies and phoniness of it all. That's how the president and Democratic Party operate.
Why would Obama need letters in newspapers making excuses for the horrible job he's doing? He's already got most of the mainstream media covering for him and singing his praises like Obama was a religion seven evenings a week.
This administration is becoming more and more of a carnival show with every passing day: It's rigged. Nothing is real, and in the end it costs you a lot of money and you walk away with some worthless little prize.
You know, it never ceases to amaze me, the depths Obots have plunged my former party. You'd think I would be used to it by now, but no. You take another nosedive every two weeks or so.
Ellie Light = Keith Olbermann.
Write Ellie Light as L'Elite. Now that sounds like an Obama supporter.

Jan 4th I predicted a man blocks healthcare and on another occassion I said a man crosses his arm reg healthcare, and that it would not be passed as easily as Obama anticipated. Are we there now:
Brown, a state senator who defeated Democratic state Attorney General Martha Coakley on Tuesday, is the first Massachusetts Republican to win a U.S. Senate race since 1972. His win stripped Democrats of their filibuster-proof 60-seat Senate supermajority and has forced the Obama White House to reconsider its options for passing a health care bill.
One of the problems with Washington is that "there seems to be no transparency" on health care negotiations and other issues, Brown told reporters.
"People are outraged by that. Just do everything aboveboard. That's what this place is about. This is the best place in the world when it comes to solving problems, and we've kind of lost our way," he added.

George Russell
Fox News
January 15, 2010
The World Health Organization (WHO) is considering a plan to ask governments to impose a global consumer tax on such things as Internet activity or everyday financial transactions like paying bills online.
Such a scheme could raise “tens of billions of dollars” on behalf of the United Nations’ public health arm from a broad base of consumers, which would then be used to transfer drug-making research, development and manufacturing capabilities, among other things, to the developing world.
The multibillion-dollar “indirect consumer tax” is only one of a “suite of proposals” for financing the rapid transformation of the global medical industry that will go before WHO’s 34-member supervisory Executive Board at its biannual meeting in Geneva

Here's a reminder that Mercury, the planet of communication, has now gone direct! This should help us all a bit, as I've heard about a lot of miscommunication, delays in communication, problems, etc. We also have a powerful Solar Eclipse at 25 degrees of Capricorn, which rules big business, and it occurs on 1/14/10 for those in the west coast at 11:07 PST ; for those of us on the East Coast, it falls at 1/15/10 at 2:07 AM EST
Below are the instructions. Use this special Eclipse, which is conjoined with Venus, planet of love and money, to manifest many new beginnings financially and relationship wise. Blessings. -- Tisch

Internal Revenue Service agents already try to catch tax cheats and moonshiners. Under the proposed health care legislation, they would get another assignment: checking to see whether Americans have health insurance.
The legislation would require most Americans to have health insurance and to prove it on their federal tax returns. Those who don’t would pay a penalty to the IRS.
That’s one of several key duties the IRS would assume under the bills that have been approved by the House of Representatives and Senate and will be merged by negotiators from both chambers.
The agency also would distribute as much as $140 billion a year in new government subsidies to help small employers and as many as 19 million lower-income people buy coverage

28Cancer Mum Recovers After Using Mistletoe Instead of Chemotherapy
Filed Under Cancer, Natural Healing, Natural Solutions
A mum is recovering from cancer after she turned down chemotherapy and used mistletoe instead.
Joan van Holsteijn, 53, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma after tumours were discovered in her leg.
But she opted not to have conventional treatment after hearing injections of medicine from the Christmas kiss plant had healing properties.
After 18 months, the tumours have gone and Joan is clear of the disease.
She said: “I owe my life to mistletoe. I feel so grateful and well and healthy.
“I have never had it in the house before but this year I’ve got a sprig of mistletoe at my front door.”
Joan went to her doctor after a painful lump the size of an egg developed on her leg.
Doctors recommended chemotherapy for special needs therapist Joan, who lives with her husband Simon, 48, and daughter Lisa, 14, in Milltimber, Aberdeenshire.
Joan said: “I was very scared, scared of the cancer and scared of chemo because you can become so ill from it.
“Usually patient’s try chemotherapy then mistletoe but I didn’t want to do that.”
Joan went to Park Attwood Clinic in Birmingham where she was given injections of medicine refined from mistletoe berries.
It kickstarts the immune system so the body can fight back against the cancer.
Within six months, the lump on Joan’s leg had shrunk and after 18 months, all the tumours had gone.
She said: “All that’s left behind is scar tissue. I feel absolutely fantastic.”

Eagle Scout and Cub Scout Punished under 'Zero Tolerance' Rules
Google Ads
Bizarre discipline incidents in New York State and Delaware this fall highlighted the problems with "zero tolerance" policies that impose strict punishments on students who accidentally commit technical violations of school policies.Matthew Whalen, a senior at Lansingburgh High School in Troy, New York, kept a two-inch-long utility knife in his car, as part of a survival kit including a sleeping bag, water, and a ready-to-eat meal. Whalen is an Eagle Scout and the recipient of a Life-Saving Heroism award from Boy Scouts of America. As a Boy Scout, he is well-schooled in knife safety and the practical uses for knives in camping and other outdoor activities. The tiny knife, which never left his locked car until a school official asked Whalen to go get it, earned Whalen a 20-day suspension which will remain on his permanent record.
Another student told a school administrator that Whalen had a knife in his car. Whalen immediately acknowledged that he had the knife when the administrator asked him about it. Whalen's initial five-day suspension was lengthened by another 15 days when Lansingburgh Central School District Superintendent George J. Goodwin reviewed the case. In a written statement, Goodwin said that the school district has "an established policy of zero tolerance with respect to the possession of weapons of any kind on school property or in school buildings."
The district's "zero tolerance" policy, however, appears nowhere in its written policies. Instead, the district's rule book is silent on zero tolerance, and the high school's policies say that "students may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including suspension from school," for engaging in violent conduct, which can include merely "possessing a weapon." Clearly, this rule allows suspensions but does not mandate them, and leaves the length of the suspension to the superintendent's discretion. (Fox News, 10-13-09, 10-18-09)
Supt. Goodwin told the Albany Times Union that he believed the punishment was "appropriate and fair." "Sometimes young people do things they may not see as serious. We look at any possession of any type of knife as serious."
In November, the local school board officially refused Matthew's family's request that his suspension be removed from his record. The Whalens plan to appeal the decision to the state Board of Education, a process that will probably take about a year. Happily for Matthew, an admissions official from his dream school, West Point, told the Whalens that West Point is unlikely to weigh his "zero-tolerance" suspension very heavily when they decide whether or not to admit him, given the details of the case. (Troy Record News, 11-20-09)
The other recent incident, in Newark, Delaware, concerned a six-year-old boy who brought a Cub Scout camping utensil to school. The boy, Zachary Christie, recently joined Cub Scouts and was so excited about his new utensil that he wanted to use it to eat school lunch. The utensil folds out and serves as a combination spoon, fork, and knife. School officials charged Zachary with violating the district's zero-tolerance policy, and sentenced him to 45 days in the district's reform school.
Christina School District's policy instructs school officials to suspend students who bring "weapons" onto campus, "regardless of the possessor's intent." George Evans, president of the district school board, defended the school's decision to suspend Zachary. "There is no parent who wants to get a phone call where they hear that their child no longer has two good seeing eyes because there was a scuffle and someone pulled out a knife," he said. Zachary's mother called the school's actions "out of control" and argued that her son is "not some sort of threat to his classmates."
Debbie Christie chose to homeschool her son instead of sending him to reform school. After the story received national media attention and Mrs. Christie collected tens of thousands of signatures on a petition asking the school board to relent, the board voted to reduce the mandated punishment for kindergarteners and 1st-graders. These young students will now receive suspensions of three to five days, instead of 45. Zachary was allowed to return to school, but his mother, along with other parents, still believes the school's policies need to change. Zachary told the New York Times that he learned from the incident "to always ask before taking something new into school." (New York Times, 10-11-09, MSNBC.com, 10-14-09)
Soon after the Matthew Whalen and Zachary Christie incidents, the New York Times ran a story on another zero-tolerance incident, under the headline, "25 Chicago students arrested for a middle-school food fight." Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Michael Smerconish reminisced about a very different headline from 33 years ago: "35 students reprimanded in food-throwing incident." Smerconish was one of the 35.
In his recent editorial, Smerconish linked the recent food-fight arrests to Zachary Christie's story, and called for a return to common sense. "While protecting kids post-Columbine and Virginia Tech is serious business, no would-be school shooter has been deterred by the arrest of two dozen kids tossing mystery meat across a Chicago cafeteria or the tough love dispensed to a 1st-grader who put a Cub Scouts tool in his backpack. School districts would be better served by separating the high jinks from high crimes," said Smerconish. (Philadelphia Inquirer, 11-29-09)
